Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2024

We are kicking off the holiday season early this year with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thurs., Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. This is also the first night of our Christmas Open House Weekend, so be sure to see the merchants while you are in downtown Union City!
Schedule of Events
4 to 6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be set up near the Christmas Tree in front of the Obion County Courthouse for photos.
6 p.m. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – Elementary choirs will sing holiday favorites as we count down to the lighting of the tree.
7 p.m. Head to all of our downtown merchants who are staying open late this evening and shop!
After the tree lighting ceremony, stick around for some shopping with our downtown merchants. They will be staying open late until 8 p.m. with Christmas specials to kick off their open house weekend. You may also be surprised to hear carolers from the Masquerade Theatre singing Christmas songs in a few stores. Grab your hot chocolate or favorite Christmas drink from Vantage Coffee Roasters and enjoy the spirit of Christmas in downtown Union City!

Two new businesses that will make their debut on Nov. 14 include Agora Art Gallery and the highly-anticipate new location of Deep South Boutique, both located on S. First St. in the heart of downtown.
