MAIN STREET UNION CITY LAUNCHES MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN

UNION CITY, TENN. – Main Street Union City has just released its 2023-24 membership levels for downtown merchants, local businesses and individuals. Anyone who has a passion for the downtown Union City can join.

Members of Main Street Union City play a key role in helping with the downtown revitalization efforts. A few goals that leaders in the organization want to achieve include helping preserve the timeless buildings that line downtown, seeking new businesses and entrepreneurs to fill those buildings with life, promoting downtown activities to locals and tourists, and organizing committees who put the organization’s plan into action.

There are several membership levels for all businesses and individuals. Listed below are the levels:
Friend of Main Street: $100
Silver: $250
Gold: $500
Platinum: $750
Diamond: $1,000
Corporate: $2,500
Corporate Elite: $5,000

Each membership level includes different perks, such as a highlight video that showcases a business or product, as well as other advertising opportunities.

“We want our community members, business owners and investors who are passionate about seeing their downtown grow and thrive to be able to join in the fun,” said Katie Graves, executive director for Main Street Union City. “Our focus at Main Street Union City is to follow the national Main Street Four-Point Approach in all we do, make sure our downtown merchants succeed, seek innovative ways to provide resources to entrepreneurs who want to open a business downtown and so much more. With funds from our membership drive, we can achieve those goals and bring in the resources to make our downtown grow into a wonderful place to live, shop, eat and play.”

Some of the improvements Main Street Union City has done in the past include helping building owners improve their facades by offsetting the cost of materials and supplies. This is made possible through contributions of local Main Street members as well as state-funded grant money. Some future downtown improvements that Main Street wants to work towards include activating green spaces, adding more murals, continue helping building owners freshen up their facades, as well as brightening downtown with vibrant flowers and updated light pole banners.

With members’ contributions, Main Street Union City can continue its mission to enrich the quality of life of all citizens of Obion County by revitalizing the economy, enhancing the historical charm and preserving the architectural heritage of the downtown business district of Union City, Tennessee.
